Why big-odds selections lose more often — and can still profit
A selection priced at 5.00 needs to win once in five for you to break even. Our long-odds picks are published at a strike rate well below the short-priced ones, and that is by design. The question is never "did it win", it is whether the price was bigger than the real chance.
Public money consistently overweights favourites, particularly on high-profile fixtures, which pushes outsider prices out beyond their fair value. That gap is what this page is looking for.
Stake these differently
Long-odds selections have a much wider swing than short ones. A run of ten losses is normal at these prices and says nothing on its own. If you follow this page, use a smaller unit than you would on the main predictions list, and give it a large enough sample to mean anything.
